Hey, I'm Megan Schwan!
I’m a Certified Profit First Professional and I’ve spent over a decade building Sidekick Accounting Services, working with small service-based businesses on bookkeeping, tax strategy, tax resolution, and actually implementing Profit First instead of just reading about it. Will this work if I'm not a numbers person?
Yes, and honestly it was built for exactly you. There's no accounting vocabulary to learn and nothing to reconcile. If you can read your bank balance and answer 11 honest questions, you can do this. Every worksheet is fill-in-the-blank, and every video is me explaining it the way I'd explain it across a table, not the way a textbook would.
What if I already have a bookkeeper?
Keep them. A bookkeeper records what already happened. That's their job, and a good one is worth every penny. This is about what you do next: what you pay yourself, what you set aside for taxes, and how you read your own numbers before someone hands you a report. Plenty of people with great bookkeepers still can't answer “what do I pay myself?”
Is this just Profit First stuff I can find online for free?
The core idea behind Profit First isn't a secret, and I'd never pretend it is. What you can't find for free is the sequence: your score, your numbers, five specific decisions, in five days, with someone who implements this for a living telling you what order to do it in. Free information is everywhere. Implementation is the part that never happens on its own.
How much time does this take?
About 45 minutes total, spread across five days. A 5 to 8 minute video and a short worksheet per day. If you can find 10 minutes before your first call, you can do this in the cracks of a normal week. No live calls, nothing to attend, nothing that expires.
What happens after the 5 days?
On Day 6 you get a “Where do I go from here?” email that tells you what to do next based on what your scorecard showed, including the things you can go handle yourself. If you'd rather talk it through with a human, there's an invite to a Consult With Your Sidekick call. It's an option, not a trapdoor. Ignore it and you still finish with a plan.
